Roxie and Frank our thoughts have been with all of you this past week. So hard to believe someone so full of life has passed. So many memories of him and Cory and the adventures they had growing up. He was so proud of Frank, on Cory’s last trip home I went over to pick him up after at Barry’s and had to go in to meet Frank and see his house. He will be remembered and missed by many.

Barry hired me for an intern position the summer before my final year of university. It remains one of my favorite work experiences ever. The camaraderie, the kindness…my birthday landed in the middle of the internship. I accidentally told someone close to the day of, so Barry heard last minute. He still surprised me by bringing me breakfast, and taking me out for a free lunch…that meant so much to me.

When I think of Barry I think of the boy that used to visit my parents trailer. So sweet and so caring. When I mentioned his passing to my son who was such a little boy when he met Barry, he expressed such sadness remembering what a nice boy he had been. Gone too soon

Sending my deepest condolences to Roxie and family, I got to know Barry a little more during these past few years, and we often spoke about having our kids meet up during our summer visits. In our exchanges, he immediately had me laughing, and I remember thinking wow! That is a great sense of humour! Love it. I regret not meeting up, now I can see how many lives Barry touched and spirits he lifted.
What a special guy to remember.

To Barry’s family, I’m so very sorry to hear of his passing. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy and prayers of comfort to surround you with the love so many had for him.
Barry and I met while in high school- although I went to Sussex high. Barry asked me to be his prom date to the Bellisle prom, I smile every time I think back to that night- we went into the prom and swing music was playing.. you would have sworn we had been practicing these moves for months (or so we thought). He was swinging me from side to side, next thing I knew we were back to back and he was hauling me over his back. I did a full flip in a prom dress and landed in 4” heels. I can still feel the sting on the bottom of my feet. We were roaring- and shocked we had just pulled that off. What a guy!!! I’m grateful for those memories and will hold them close. Rest in peace, old friend.

I remember Barry as a small boy and marvelled at how much he resembled his Dad. Lost touch for a while but had the opportunity to visit with him, Tallis and Frankie in Calgary. A life taken too soon. Thinking of Barry growing up and all the good times we shared together. It’s funny, you drift off into your mind when something tragic like this happens, pouring over memories you shared with this person which seem like a lifetime ago, I sifted through those memories with a heavy heart and a tear, bouncing from year to year and after a while that sadness turned to a smile remembering who Barry was.. all the fishing trips,skiing,bobs camp,rugby our mutual love of nirvana, pulling Mitchell way too fast behind the three wheeler in Bobs field and him falling off and being raked over the coals by Roxie and Bob (that didn’t deter us any) there are too many great memories to tell… he was such a great guy!! All of the greatest things in life seem to be hard to pin down.. that was Barry always on the move making connections and friends here and there and everywhere in between… the comments and stories from everyone is testament to all the people who’s lives he’s touch… Nos da big man… condolences to the family and friends x

I was truly saddened to here of Barry's passing. A life well lived but not nearly long enough.
I will always remember taking Brad, Kellie and Barry to Crabbe Mountain skiing. The boys convinced me there was a really great run around the back of the hill. Trusting what they said, off I went with them only to find myself on a steep trail of mogels. The boys laughed so hard as I bounced my way down. We stayed at the Sherton in Fredericton where it was an all you can eat chef prepared breakfast. I believe that was the last Sunday they ever offered that. The boys ate them out of groceries.
Barry was a great young man and it sounds like he was a great man. So very very sorry that you all have lost him in your lives.
