Ruby Winnifred Miller, 98 passed away peacefully on June 24, 2015 at Lovelace Medical Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Ruby was born on January 10, 1917, in Burtts Corner, NB to Grace and Edgar Brown. She was married to John Cyril Miller "Cy" for 61 years, until his death in 1998, shortly after moving back to the states. Ruby is preceded in death by her parents, husband Cy, brothers Bert, Scott, Lorne, Edgar and their spouses, sister and best friend Florence Warner and spouse Ray, brother-in-law Hiram Stevenson, nephew Gary Brown and niece Geraldine Garibay. She is survived by her sister Marie Stevenson of Burnaby, BC, son John Miller and wife Linda of Westland, Michigan, daughter Joyce Taylor and her husband Jim of Fort Meade, Florida and daughter Lynn Miller of Albuquerque, NM. Surviving relatives also include 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, 11 nieces, 5 nephews and an assortment of grand-dogs and grand-cats all of whom she loved very much. Anyone who knew Ruby would describe her as a true lady. She was elegant yet very down to earth. She loved her family very much and in her final years would often speak of her New Brunswick family and going back home. A graveside service will be held at Riverbank Cemetery, Riverbank NB on Tuesday August 25, 2015. Sherwood Funeral Home, Norton , NB (506 839-2156) is entrusted with the arrangements.
