The death of Howard Leonard Ricketson, age 78, of Springdale, NB, and formerly of Hatfield Point, occurred at his residence on Friday, March 4, 2016. He was born on March 3, 1938, in Hatfield Point, the son of the late Percy and Alice (Stobbs) Ricketson. Howard is survived by his sons Jim (Nicole Winchester), Dean, John, and Brian (Cindy Pieroway) all of Hatfield Point, grandchildren James Ricketson (Kelsey), Amy Cormier (Justin), Zachary Ricketson, Noah Ricketson, Stephanie Richardson, Michael Richardson, Emily Ricketson, Kaylie Ricketson, Karen Ricketson, Thomas Ricketson, Samantha Dow (Justin) and Bria Ricketson; great grandchildren Austin, Alison, Jaiden, Willow, Lexus, Abbigail and Jaden; sister Ella Lawrence and sister-in-law Cynthia Ricketson of Hatfield Point. He was predeceased by his parents and brother David Ricketson. He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB., from where a funeral service will be held for family and close friends. A reception for friends will be held at the Hatfield Point Baptist Church following the interment in Bayview Cemetery at 3:30 pm on Wednesday, March 9, 2016.
