It is with sadness that the family of Herman William Belyea, husband of Lana Mae (Cyrette) Belyea, announce his passing which occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital, Fredericton, NB, on July 11, 2016. He was born on June 18, 1931 in the Narrows, NB, a son of the late Lemont and Marion (McGarity) Belyea. Herman is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lana Belyea; children: Gray Belyea of Victoria, BC, Kimberley (Dennis) McNair of Calgary, AB, Maureen (Dewayne) Black of Harewood, NB, Lemont (Kimberley) Belyea of Cambridge-Narrows, NB, Dean (Barb) Belyea of Elk Point, AB, Wayne (Tammy) Belyea of White’s Cove, NB and Lloyd (Meagan) Belyea of Bagdad, NB; fourteen grandchildren; five great grandchildren; sisters-in-law Beverley and Marion Belyea; as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Herman was predeceased by his siblings: Donald Belyea, Harold Belyea, Alice Simpson, Bessie Kennedy, Elsie McCrae, Gordon Belyea, Robert Belyea, Norman Belyea and George Belyea. Herman was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm on Friday. The funeral service will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 2:30pm on Saturday, July 16, 2016. Interment will be held at the Narrows Baptist Cemetery. The family would like to express a special thank you towards Dr. Greg Haines and to the staff of the Oromocto Hosptial for all their care and compassion.
