Elva had many titles in her 89 years, but the ones that brought her the most joy were wife, Mom, and Nana. Elva was a family oriented lady who devoted her life to raising her children and doting on her Grandchildren, and Great Grandchildren, and was adored by them all. She was a strong woman who gave so much to her family without wanting anything in return, but their happiness.
Elva always took pride in her work and was much respected in her job operating the Telephone Exchange. Although it was a busy job that required her full attention, she was honoured to serve her community in this way for about 10 years.
A Simple phrase that describes her so well would be, "She Loved". She loved her God, her family, her friends, and always saw the best in all those who would cross her path.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Sunday, January 15, 2017 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8PM.
