It is with heavy hearts that the family of Ethel Bernice (Hayward) Pearson, age 88, of Pearsonville, NB, announces her death which occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, NB. Ethel was born in Prosser Brook, NB, on March 20, 1929, the daughter of the late Willard and Gladys (Hayward) Geldart. She is survived by her children: Austin (June) Myers of Shenstone, NB, Wanda (Jack) Lynch of Sussex Corner, NB, and Leanne Targett of Fredericton, NB; step-children: Gerald Pearson of Searsville, NB, John (Susan) Pearson of Smith’s Creek, NB, and Mark Pearson of Sussex, NB; six grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as many extended family. Besides her parents, Ethel was predeceased by her loving husband John Eugene Pearson; and her son Robert Myers. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8PM. The funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00PM from Sherwood’s Funeral Home Chapel. A private family interment will take place in Woodland United Cemetery, Pearsonville, NB.
