With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Lloyd Stanley Muir who passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at home with his family by his side, as he wished. Born in Belleisle Creek on April 24, 1938, he was a son of the late Clarence and Kathleen (Folkins) Muir. Lloyd is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Irene (Vail) Muir; children: Tammy Urquhart and her husband John Jr of Kars, NB, Heather Nyenhuis and her husband Tony of Belleisle Creek, NB, and Andrew Muir and his wife Jennifer of Belleisle Creek, NB; grandchildren Holly, Samantha & Megan Urquhart, Peter, Konnor, Sophie, & Gage Nyenhuis, Brayden, Lauren, & Maelee Muir; sister: Margaret McMillan ( Purdy); brothers-in-law: Charlie Neil, Brian McCafferty, Leslie Vail, Garfield Vail and Percy Reid; sister-in-law: Donna Muir as well as MANY nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brothers: Edward "Ted", Mac and David, sisters: Christina "Teenie" Neil, and Eleanor McCafferty, sister-in-law: Lena Asselstine and grandson Lucas Muir. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018, 1PM to 8PM in the family home 408 Rte 875, Belleisle Creek. The funeral service will be held Thursday, January 11, 2018, 11:00AM at Atlantic Community Church, Apohaqui, NB. Interment will take place in the Union Cemetery.
