It is with sadness that the family of Hazel Ruth Mott, age 89, announces her passing which occurred on Monday, January 15, 2018 at the Kiwanis Nursing Home. Born in Kars, NB on December 21, 1928, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Lenora (VanWart) Urquhart. Hazel is survived by her son Chris Mott and his wife Doreen of Sussex Corner, NB; daughters: Anne Brown and her husband Ralph of Saint John, NB, and Susan Kindred and her husband Dave of Penobsquis, NB; grandchildren: Michael, Michele, Tracy and Matthew; great grandchildren: Jessica, Gennie, Callie, Kara, Jake, Hannah, Sam, John and Amelia; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Hazel was predeceased by her loving husband Ivan W. Mott; brothers: Earl, Deverne, Alvin and Harry; and sisters: Rowena, Ruby, Bertha and Christina. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where visitation will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018 from 3 to 5PM and 6 to 8PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 11:00AM from Sherwood’s Funeral Chapel. A private family interment will take place at Belyea’s Cove Cemetery in the spring.
