It is with sadness that we announce passing of Gwynneth Mary Hutt, age 79, which occurred on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Church of St. John & St. Stephen Nursing Home. Gwynneth was born in Hereford, England, on July 10, 1938, and is survived by her sister-in-law, Joyce Davies and family of Hereford, England; dear friends in England: Christopher and Rosemary Whitmey of Hereford, and Kevin and Clare Braebrook of Fownhope; close Canadian friends: Dorm and Peggy Barter of Belyea’s Cove, NB, Doug Gibson of Westfield, NB and Michael, Carla, Brendan and Maddy MacNeil of Quispamsis, NB who considered Gwynn family. Gwynneth worked for many years as the District Manager for Sears Optical and would travel for work all over the Maritimes. She was an independent woman who loved going for walks, looking after her flower gardens and travelling. She also enjoyed watching the wildlife anytime that she could and had a special place in her heart for cats. Gwynneth loved the Lord and was faithful to attending church. Gwynneth was predeceased by her parents, and John & Aaron Davies. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, where her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 2:00PM. A family interment will take place in England at a later date. Donations in memory of Gwynneth may be made to the Saint John SPCA Animal Rescue or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
