It is with sadness the family of Annie Joyce (Forgrave) Johnston, age 94, announce her death, on July 13, 2018 at Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, NB. She was the wife of the late George Johnston of Norton, NB. Annie was born on August 31, 1923 in Norton, NB, the daughter of the late William and Annie (Dorey) Forgrave. Annie held a number of positions in her life but the one she cherished most was being a wife. Next was aunt, surrogate mother, to so many young impressionable children....her nieces and nephews! She was there to dry the tears, bandage the booboo’s, hand out treats and provide abundant love. Having no children of her own, she spread that love around, whether a child, teenager or adult....she was still there. Her generous nature didn’t stop there! She loved to knit and a lot of people benefited from this talent, from relatives to sharing clubs....she gave to all. She was a very special lady who will be missed by so many! Annie is survived by; sons George and Gloria of Ontario, Gary of Saskatchewan, and Jack and Bev of Hampton; daughter Sharon and Cliff Jenson of British Columbia; several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), Norton, NB with visitation on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 18, 2018. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery.
