A stalwart of Belyea’s Cove, Roland Manford Reicker, age 87, passed away at the Sussex Health Centre on February 23, 2019. Born in Kars NB, on August 22, 1931, he was the son of the late Manford and A. Mildred (Henderson) Reicker. Roland is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Shirley (Bostwick) Reicker; children: Richard "Rick" Reicker (Beth) of Hatfield Point NB, and Joyce Freeze (Keith) of Springfield NB; grandchildren: Matthew (Angela) Guptill, Rory (Tanya) Reicker, Ryan (Laura) Reicker, Marce Donovan (Raymond) and Cody (Marion) Donovan; great-grandchildren: Megan, Owen, Ethan, Ayda and Macey Guptill; Austin and Hailey Reicker and Collins and Makenzie Donovan; Brothers: John Reicker (Ann) of Saint John NB, and William "Bill" Reicker (Mary) of Moncton NB; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Roland was predeceased by his brothers: Albert "Roy" and H. Leslie Reicker; sister Thelma Reicker and infant sister Rowena Reicker. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton NB, where visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 26th, 2019 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 27th, at 11:00am from Outreach Pentecostal Church, 2129 Route 124, Hatfield Point. Interment will take place in the spring at Bayview Cemetery.
