It is with sadness that the family announces the death of Clara Jean Duffy wife of the late James Duffy of Sussex and formerly of Norton, NB, which occurred on August 17, 2020 at Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex. Clara was born in Hampton, NB on April 20, 1923, the daughter of the late Charles and Ella (Yeomans) Burgess. Clara is survived by her loving daughter, Verna and her husband Barry Grenchuk of Windsor Junction, NS; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her twin sister, Mary Forestall and brother Charles Burgess. A special thank you to Mary Ellen Snyder and husband Brian for all the wonderful care and support they provided to mom and myself over many years. Mary Ellen and Brian became like a daughter and son-in-law to mom. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB and all services will be held privately. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery. Memorial donations in memory of Clara may be made to the Kirk Cemetery, Norton or to the memorial of the donor’s choice.
