Obituary of Eva Ruth Beechin
The death of Eva Ruth (McNair) Beechin, age 87, wife of the late Raymond Beechin, formerly of Riverbank, NB, occurred on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at Great Oaks Special Care Home. Ruth was born January 30, 1933, the daughter of the late William and Clara (Long) McNair.
Ruth is survived by her daughter Colleen (Bill) Fudge of Saint John, NB; her son Chris (Tammy) Beechin of Riverbank, NB; Grandsons Ryan (Emilie) and Benjamin; along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter McNair & Rev. Harvey McNair, and her sister Luella Kilfillen.
Ruth (Ruthie to most) was a kind, loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Married to her sweetheart for 57 years, she enjoyed a quiet life looking after her family and tending to her flower gardens. A prouder Nannie you would not find, as her grandsons could do no wrong in her eyes! When they were little, she could be found down on the floor playing cars or some other form of pretend, or just cuddling on the couch reading them a book. She loved her boys! Her last few years she lived at Great
Oaks Special Care Home where she was cared for and loved by the very Best of the Best! We can never thank Dorothy and her staff enough for all they have done for Ruthie over the years.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton. Due to Covid-19, there will be no visitation and a private family service will be held at a later time. Interment will take place in Riverbank Cemetery
Donations to the memorial of the donor’s choice would be appreciated. Condolences to the family may be made through www.sherwoodsfuneralhome.com
