Obituary of Elsie McMillan
It is with broken hearts that the family of Elsie Marguerite McMillan announces her passing, which occurred on October 31, 2020 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre in Hampton, New Brunswick. Born in Goshen, NB, on June 6, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (O’Connor) Malone.
Elsie was a hairdresser by trade. The heart of her family, she was always there for a laugh, a talk, a cry, or just a silent smile full of encouragement. She worked tirelessly to support her family in anyway she could. She will be truly missed, always loved, and never forgotten.
Elsie is survived by her loving sons: Trevor (Mary Jane) McMillan of Belleisle Creek, NB, Shawn (Diane) McMillan of Midland, NB, and Karl (Lyndsey) McMillan of Belleisle Creek; her adoring daughters: Lana McMillan (Daryl Pollock), and Nicole (Troy) McCullum, both of Belleisle Creek; and her beloved grandchildren: Kirkland, Colby, Matthew, Thomas, Jacob, Olivia, Noah, Tristan, Kalei and Chase. Elsie is also survived by her sister, Irene Lawler, along with several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Elsie was predeceased by her husband, Wayne McMillan; her brothers: Warren, Leo, Raymond, James; and her sisters: Kathleen, Mildred, Josephine, and Marie.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private visitation and funeral service will be held. Interment will take place at South Branch Cemetery at a later date.
