The death of Edward Lowery Webb, age 87, husband of the late Lillian (Gourley) Webb of Hampstead, NB, occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on Wednesday, August 10, 2011. He was born on May 27, 1924, in New Jerusalem, NB, the son of the late Edward and Myrtle (MaGee) Webb. Edward is survived by his daughters Donna Webb of Fredericton, Diane Webb of Belleisle Creek and Wanda and husband Norman Butler of Saint John; grandchildren Justine and Derrick Butler; brother Douglas Webb of Hampstead; sister Irma and husband Everett MacDonald of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Burpee, Malcolm, Willard and James and sister Grace. A Celebration of Edward’s life, conducted by Rev. Bob Johnson, will be held in Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156) Chapel, 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. The service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 12, 2011. Interment will follow in St Stephen’s Anglican Cemetery, Queenstown, NB. Donations in memory of Edward, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the memorial of the donor’s choice.
