Obituary of Jean Snyder
The death of Jean Isabel (Griffiths) Snyder of Norton, NB, wife of the late Warren Snyder, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Sunday, October 30, 2011. She was born on March 11, 1925, in Norton, the daughter of the late Jack and Bella (Whitenect) Griffiths.
She is survived by her sons Charles and Susan Snyder of Norton, John and Noella Snyder of Riverview, Hugh and Debbie Snyder of Norton, David and Christina Snyder of Saint John, Bruce and Carolyn Snyder of Hatfield Point, Larry Snyder and Jessica Freeze of Norton, and Gordon and Ann-Marie Snyder of Norton; daughters Sharon and David Kaye of Sussex, and Donna Vallis of Fredericton; grandchildren Karey Howe (Jed), Paula Kaye, Kizzy Kaye (Drew), Scott Snyder, Jill Potter (Todd), Clive Vallis (Stacey), Morgan Vallis, Jordon Vallis (Rebecca), Deirdre Snyder, Lisa Skonieczny (Joe), Ben Snyder (Vanessa), Holly Sturgeon (Jason), Adam Snyder, Crystal Ann Parker (Andrew), Troy Snyder (Jessica), Melissa McKnight (Justin), William Snyder, Chelsey Snyder (Dustin), Jessica Snyder, Miley Freeze, Ashley Snyder (Brett), and Abbey Snyder; great grandchildren Hanna and Emily Potter, Ryan Codling, Barrett and Alex Howe, Isaiah and Elyse Vallis, Deirdre and Keira Skonieczny, Brook Sturgeon and Samantha McKnight; brother Claude and Della Griffiths of Norton; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Jean was predeceased by her brothers Walter and Harry Griffiths.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Tuesday, from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. A celebration of Jean’s life, conducted by Rev. Tom Robinson and Father Peter Bagley, will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 2:00 pm, from St. Andrew’s United Church, Norton, NB. Interment will follow in Riverbank Cemetery.
