After a lengthy illness, the death of Gordon Francis Ross, age 85, husband of the late Elsie (Ryan) Ross of Berwick, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Saturday, August 18, 2012. He was born on March 5, 1927 in Riverside Albert, NB, the son of the late Francis and Georgie (Cochrane) Ross Gordon is survived by his stepchildren Ernest Hughes (Cindy) of Sussex, Roy Hughes of Lakeside, Stephen Hughes of Petitcodiac; children Jeffrey Ross (Pam) of Alberta and Ann (Ross) Chown; brothers Charles Ross (Donna) of Saint John and Percy Ross (Barbara) of Ontario; sister Sandra Goguen (Rod) of Saint John; grandchildren Amanda Hughes (Tim), Sarah Hughes, Brandon and Devon Chown; great grandchildren Bailey and London; cousin Clayton; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Ronald and Carlisle Ross and sister Sylvia McEacheran. He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Tuesday, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Otty Forgrave, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 22, 2012. Interment will take place in Bayview Cemetery, Hatfield Point, NB.
