LANE, Muriel Gillies (nee Sherwood) Born on December 31, 1920 in Midland, New Brunswick. Passed away peacefully in her home with her family at her side, on October 15, 2012, at Amica Retirement Residence at the age of 91. Loving wife of Ken for 62 years. Devoted and much loved Mom of John (Margaret), Judy (David), Jim (Anne) and Peter (Laura). Caring Gram of Ashley, Brittany, Melanie (Sandy), Jessie (Andy), Mike, James (Jenn), Catie (Mike), Chris and David. GG will be missed by Molly, Max and Ruby. Sister of the late Senator Cy Sherwood ( Maddie). Will be missed by friends, nieces and nephews that referred to her as 'Mom'. The family wishes to acknowledge Mom's excellent, professional support staff at Amica, Mosaic Home Care, CCAC and North York General Hospital Palliative Team with Dr. Leung and especially Virginia Clark- Weir. Thanks to Mom's many friends for all of their phone calls, gifts and cards. Your kindness and compassion help to lessen the burden of Mom's suffering. A very special thanks to Dr. C.
