Obituary of Ray Marr
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Raymond Emery Marr, husband of Ethel (Northrup) Marr of Evandale, NB, on October 30, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born on February 8, 1932, the son of the late Eldon & Ruth (Shea) Marr.
Ray was first and foremost a dedicated husband, father and family man, who had a great love of the outdoors. He was self employed for many years in the forestry industry.
Besides his wife he is survived by three sons; Randy & Kim Marr of Queenstown, Wayne Marr of Evandale and Greg & Ronda Marr of Kingston; six daughters; Brenda Drane & William Joncas of Evandale, Loretta Lane of Oak Point, Wanda & Wayne Miller of Saint John, Bonnie & Doug Donald of Public Landing, Pamela & Allan Cameron of Burton, and Elizabeth Marr and Gordon Tweedy of Woodstock ; grandchildren Raymond and Michelle Drane, Nigel Lane, Shawn, Tina & Joseph Lemieux, Jason Marr, Kelsey, Courtney & Bradley Cameron, Morgan & Jenna Marr, Cheryl Innes, David Gunning and Alicia Bowser; great grandchildren Jannelta Drane, Julie & Jocelyn Drane, Ethan, Lydia & Torin, Austin, Hunter & Xavier Lemieux, Nikki Donovan, Kalie Schriver, Chloe Innes, Jordan & Kirstie Gunning; great-great grandchild Madison Schriver; sisters; Audrey & Buff Hoyt, of Millville, Betty Fox of Millville, Joyce Bradley of Millville, Eleanor Carpenter of Tennant’s Cove; brothers; Clayton & Vi of Wickham, Carl & Lillian of Tennant’s Cove and Paul & Annie of Evandale. Ray was predeceased by brother; Wendall, sisters; Noreen, Pauline & Shirley; sons-in-law; Bill Lane and Donald Cole.
Ray is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, on Friday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am, on Saturday, November 3, 2012. A private family interment will take place later in Central Hampstead Cemetery.
