The death of Hilda Ann Howe, age 87, wife of the late William Howe, occurred at the Kiwanis Nursing Home, Sussex, NB, on Monday, November 19, 2012. She was born in Millstream, NB, on May 12, 1925, the daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (Lester) Frith. Hilda is survived by her daughter Catherine Ann Nodwell and her husband David of Collina, NB, their children Steven (Lisa) of Vancouver, BC, Sarah (Jamie) of Edinburgh, Scotland, Michael (Andrea) of Lower Millstream, NB; son Philip Howe and his wife Ava of Gibbon Mountain, NB, their children Alex and Ashton; nieces Barbara Sanders and her husband Ed and their family of Sackville, NS, Sheila Lester of Saint John, NB; special daughter Gayle Folkins of Lower Millstream, NB. She was predeceased by her sister Charlotte Secord and brother Merville Lester. There will be no public visitation, funeral service will take place at a later date. Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, are entrusted with arrangements.
