Obituary of Grace Boyd-Hickling
The death of Grace May Boyd-Hickling, age 99, of Norton, NB, wife of the late Albert Boyd, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, on Sunday, September 1, 2013. She was born on January 4, 1914, in Saint John, NB, the daughter of the late Thomas and Annie (Brunton) Law.
Grace is survived by her daughters Vivian Johnson and her husband Bliss of Norton, NB, Lottie Ricketts and her husband Ted of Oromocto, NB, Thelma McCullough and her husband Warren of Penobsquis, NB; son Oscar Boyd and his wife Marjorie of Norton, NB; daughter-in-law Mary Boyd of Sussex, NB; fifteen grandchildren Dwayne (Donna) Boyd, Wanda (Troy) McAllister, Nathan (Heather) Boyd, Debbie (Jeff) Price, Judy (Bob) Lawrence, Scott (Nicole) Ricketts, Troy (Tina) Ricketts, Rose Anne (Gaius) Arbeau, Darlene (Tony) McLean, Brenda (Raymond) Webster, Randy (Yvette) Melanson, Grant Boyd, Robert (Louise) Boyd, Charlene (Stephen) Aiton, Amanda (Nathan) Bizeau; thirty great grandchildren Zach, Caleb, Tamieka, Kayla, Charla, Jazmine, Anthony, Shekinah, Bliss (Lori), Belinda, Brock, Jordan, Elizabeth, Anastisia, Josh (Kelsey), Caitlin, Terri (Wesley), Tiffany, Aimee, Johnny, Brandon, Becca, Kayla, Brittany, Courtney, Tryel, Jesse, Bailey, Taylor, Summer; great-great grandchildren Brianna, Harvey, Issaac and Samuel; sister-in-law Hulda Law of Knightville, NB; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her second husband Carrol Hickling; daughter Lillian Rose; son Robert Boyd and his first wife Valerie; brothers Harry, William and Clifton.
She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Tuesday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Outreach Pentecostal Church, Hatfield Point, NB, at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, followed by interment in Bayview Cemetery.
