He was predeceased by his granddaughter Miranda O’Donnell; brothers Murray, Harold and Austin; sisters Marian, Alice and Helen.
Stan was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His family meant everything to him and he spoke of them often. He was married to the love of his life, Eunice for 59 years. His 5 sons meant the world to him and he taught them the meaning and importance of hard work. He always took them to horse shows and hockey. His grandchildren and great grandson were his pride and joy. He often sang to them and bounced them on his knee. He also always had a good story to tell. He enjoyed hunting, telling hunting stories, fishing, bird watching, going to the camp, vegetable gardening, listening to Bob Henry on Sunday nights, and watching Jeopardy. He was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Church and always attended Sunday Service. He was loved dearly by his family and will be missed so much by all. We will miss his smiling face and dry sense of humor everyday until we see him again.
He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre, (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Friday, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Sacred Heart Church, Norton, NB, at 10:00 am, on Saturday, October 19, 2013. Interment will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
