The death of Helen Dorothy (Ganong) Boyd of Kars, NB, age 91, wife of the late Lee P. Boyd, occurred on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born on September 4, 1922 in Long Point, NB, the daughter of the late Willard and Hazel (Pickle) Ganong. Helen is survived by daughters: Marilyn (Wendell) Friars of Rothesay, Gloria (Les) Burge of Nauwigewauk, Norma Burge of Saint John, Gail (Randy) Leavitt of Winnipeg, MB; daughter-in-law Jane Boyd of Hatfield Point; grandchildren: Danielle, Blair, Michelle, Darren, Melinda, Bradley, Kelly, David, Tanya, Alex, Daniel; great grandchildren: Brayden, Stephanie, Marissa, Maddison, Charlie, Porter, Justin, Michaela, Josh, Ben, Lauren, Ryder, Dylan, Logan, Emma, Parker, Lily; brother Arlie Ganong; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her son Carl Boyd; sisters Margaret Branscombe and Joyce Davis and brother Bernard Ganong. She is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB with visiting on Friday, January 31, 2014, from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service will be held from Outreach Pentecostal Church, Hatfield Point at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 1, 2014. Interment in Bayview Cemetery in the spring.
