It is with sadness the family of Gordon Stockford announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Palliative Care Unit on December 28, 2014, at the age of 52. He was the son of the late Melville and Violet (Lawson) Stockford. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his brother George. Gordie is survived by six brothers Robert, Earl and Liz, Wayne and Janet, Dave and Marlene, Mel and Georgette, Ron and Linda; sisters Norma Urquhart, Shirley and Floyd Cameron, Sharon and John Urquhart, and Ella Marie and Stanley West; sister-in-law Linda Stockford; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visitation on Wednesday, from 2 to 5 pm. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday January 1, 2015 from Outreach Pentecostal Church, Hatfield Point with Rev. Dwight Cole officiating. Interment will follow in Wickham Cemetery.
