It is with sadness, the family of Norma Winnifred Jones, age 88, announce her death, at the Oromocto Hospital, on January 5, 2015, the wife of Arthur L. Jones, of Cambridge-Narrows, NB. Norma was born on April 21, 1926 at the Narrows, the daughter of the late Leslie and Margaret (Akerley) Cromwell. Norma is survived by her husband of 71 years, Arthur; children Terry (Donna), Judy (Eugene Belyea), Harold (Joan), Catherine (Ronnie Orchard), Sylvia (Bill Jeffrey), Rosalie (Jack McLaughlin) and Bob; grandchildren Derek, Paula, Sherry, Cindy, Steven, Allan, Angela, Tammy, Shawn, Michael, Jewel, Cale, Matthew, Luke and Tracy; 28 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; brother Allan (Mary) Cromwell of Cambridge-Narrows; sisters, Pauline and George McConnachie of Cambridge-Narrows and Myrna Presse of Mexico; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, with visitation on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service, conducted by Rev. Jane Johnson and assisted by Rev. Doug Cosman, will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 am. on Friday, January 9, 2015. A private family interment will take place in Cambridge Baptist Cemetery at a later date.
