The death of Mary Evelyn Ross, age 85, of Pearsonville, NB, the wife of the late Gordon Ross, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre, Sussex, on Monday, March 23, 2015. She was born on February 26, 1930, in Apohaqui, NB, the daughter of the late Eules and Evelyn (Keirstead) Smith She is survived by son David and Phyllis of Mount Middleton; daughters Marilyn and Gord Munroe-Wutzke of Buffalo Lake, AB, Sheila and David Middleton of Portage Vale, Pat and Donnie McGouey of Highfield, Eleanor Starkey and Vernon Reicker of Sussex Corner and Heather and Mike Jack of Newtown; grandchildren Rosemary and Doug Brown, Brad and Cathy Ross, Jeanette and Mervin Greenham, Shelley and Myles Chown, Karen and Stephen Jenkins, Michelle and Brad Hayes, Damia McPhail, Pamela Coates, Rob Munroe, Rory Wutzke, Amanda Cunningham (Larry), Jason Middleton (Shannon), Scott and Carolyn McGouey, Shawn and Joanne McGouey, Crystal Goddard (Scott), Ryan and Leah Starkey, Rhonda Reicker, Rodney and Michelle Reicker, Jillian Jack (Evan), Kelsey Jack (Kirk), Denise Jack (Josh); great grandchildren; Brent, Meghan, Miranda, Bailey, Myles, Bridget, Dexter, Jonathan, Hilary, Spencer, Kennadi, Lee, Dana, Cael, Emily, Annie, Morgan, Brodie, Aidan, Coralee, Maryjane, Kaylee, Mya, Jordyn, Damon, Payton, and Emma; great-great grandchildren; Khloey, Kayden, Lincoln, and Addison; brothers Ashley and Grace Smith of Plaster Rock, and Raymond Smith (Grace) of Sussex; sisters Mabel and Allan Forgrave of Manitoba Road, Hazel Brown of Collina, sisters-in-law Lorna Smith of Apohaqui, Valeta Ross of Manitoba Road and Dorothy Crossman of Manitoba Road; aunt Marguerite Keirstead; uncle Merritt Keirstead; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by granddaughter Cathy McGourty; sister Evelyn Forgrave; brothers Harry and Eules Smith. Mary is resting at Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood’s Chapel at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, March 27, 2015. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery in the spring..
