I would like to express my condolences to the Muir family. I grew up with many from the Muir family and have fond memories of growing up in Belleisle. Mansel had a quite a story in his life. His obituary was very nice to read. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I was sorry to hear of Mansel's passing. I have a lot of memories of him, driving his old cockshutt tractor up to our place to do the barnwork when he and dad had critters together or plowing our driveway. Fixing my old ford when i was told that it was not worth fixing, and then later giving her a nice paint job. All these thing done for a price that a teen could afford. (sometimes nothing!)
Hold your memories close and remember that he was a good man and well respected.

To the Muir family. I am sorry for the loss you are feeling, but you are not the only ones feeling that loss. I have lots of fond memories from when I was a boy, and then a young man. There were countless times and I do mean countless, that as a young pup I had something welded, repaired, or tuned up a little, maybe even got a better tire than I had.. The charge was always nothing, or very near nothing. What a kind jesture toward a young neighbor. In our small community, it makes me feel quite pleased and thankful for the neighbors we have be fortunate enough to have. A good example to try and live up to. Love & prayers,

The date of birth and death are about our time on earth. However, the dash in between is where the memories are made. Mansel used his dash making great memories and brought a smile to so many. He was so respected and loved and always there. I remember spending time at his home when my mom (Rachel) would babysit the children so he and Yvonne could go into Sussex on a Saturday evening. Good memories. They were so happy and Mansel always wore a smile and his eyes twinkled. Mansel was the salt of the earth and will be missed especially by his family. So sorry to hear of Mansels passing. My family(williams) did a lot of business with Mansel over the years. Thoroughly enjoyed all the stories they used to reminisce about. I was sorry to read of Mansel's death yesterday. Your father/grandfather was just a great guy. I got to know him a bit in more recent years when visiting and asking questions about the Muir family history. He even accompanied a couple of us around half of Kings County, directing us to various cemeteries and particular headstones we wished to see. He was so helpful and generous with his time and memory.
