Time and distance have kept us apart, but we have many fond memories of visits to see Pauline and Merritt in Apohaqui, and Gail especially treasures her memories of visiting all her Gagetown cousins at the Johnson homestead in Gagetown while growing up. Incredibly, I have just learned that I too am a ‘cousin’ of Pauline—actually, a 6th cousin 3x removed! The wonders of ancestry.ca! We have to go back to the mid-1600s to make the link. I’ll bet Merritt would have had a giant “knee-slap” about that! We miss them both, but sure have fond memories. Stephen and Gail Pepper, Toronto.
