To the McCumber family,
I've known Pat since Awana days, when one, or both she and Bart would occasionally be at Awana at Hampton Baptist Church.
Pat's face was always lit up with such a radiant smile.
"Well done, though great and faithful servant!" will be her Lord and personal Saviour's words to Pat as she enters those
pearly gates - forever to be with the one who shed His blood, so those who believe will have that blessed eternal assurance of
eternity in Heaven!!!
Lynda Allaby, and son, Darren.

It’s with great sadness I write this tribute to Pat and my condolences to Bart, Brent,Lori and Melody(and families). When I think of Pat it’s her smile, quick wit and always fast moving, never enough time for all the things to do and see ! One of my first memories I was making breakfast for my 4 little boys and here she comes with Brent to take Clint and him fishing ! She even gave a baby shower for one or maybe 2 of my grandchildren ( so you can see she has been in my life from their first arrival to her final days on earth )just lately she would give me a fresh muffin plus the recipe !She would always welcome me in her home ,comfort me if I was grieving and share with me such Godly wisdom! I can just see her smiling face with her fast pace storming into heaven saying” Iam here ! “ Bart, Brent Lori,Melody thinking of you with love and pray for your comfort at this sad time xo.

Dear Bart and family,
Some of my best childhood memories involve her: From Sunday school at Hatfield Point, to Awana at Belleisle Elementary, to playing with Trent, Todd, Lori, Melody and a bunch of others and being welcomed into her home for snacks, to Awana camps at Sandy Cove and at Baptist Park in Maine, and Awana Olympics in Fredericton. Over the years she has always been there - supportive, caring, and always eager to see and catch up with those of us who moved away but came back to visit. Your home was always welcoming and open, reflecting her character.
As you go through this time of grieving her loss, take the time to really remember her - her laugh, her hugs, her deep love for you and others, and her hope in Christ, which made all of those other things so easy for her.

Hi Bart,
About two weeks ago I came across a picture of you and I on a ferry boat that you took me on. I recalled the various times when Ginny and I shared the Word and our small mission in NE India at your church. We fondly remember the fellowship times we had in your home with a group from the church. We will never forget the fun and laughter and Christian fellowship during our stay there. You and Pat welcomed us into your home with warmth and love - one of the most hospitable homes we have ever been to. Pat would keep passing the delicious food even when we were full, the pies and the coffee would never stop. She had a true gift of Christian hospitality that will be very much missed! We will always cherish those days. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. We will hope to see you later in 2021 if possible.

My condolences to Bart and Pat's family on their sad loss. I have known Pat since we were children and visited the old farm at Norton. Many memories of picking blueberries in the back fields and on the watch for grass snakes of which there were many. Suppers of macaroni and cheese with warm cow's milk were often hastily prepared by Ella, Pat's Mom, when we appeared unexpectedly to visit. Uncle Mel and aunt Ella welcomed our family to a table of fun and excited conversation. Of course there were always Prayers before all else. Dad and Mel had much to share. Families grow and scatter but Dad, Mom, Mel and Ella, kept close connections through the years. I will always remember the old farm and the times there. We learned to swim in the brook below the house even though the Lamprey Eels were scary. The Otis family was and is very special to the Pearson family. Not knowing that Pat was ill, it is very sad that we have lost her way too soon. The Otis family at the farm in Norton in1956.

Our sincere condolences on the loss of Pat. She was such a beautiful, kind, Christian lady, a wonderful friend, neighbor and church member. Pat was an amazing woman who was loved by all who had the pleasure to know her. Pat could "bake up a storm " and whenever she heard of someone in need, they were in her prayers and she was at their door with what we like to call her " comfort cupcakes". (PS. Our daughters loved her frosting better than any ones.)
Pat was so very thoughtful and giving. It was a pleasure to have received a vast array of pictures that she would take of our family during many church and community events.
She was such a blessing to have as a neighbor, especially for Mary during Cathy and Leslie's passing. Pat will be forever in our hearts and our fond memories of her will last a lifetime. Until we meet again.

What we read of Pat in the obituary was spot on. We were one of those ‘travelling evangelists” who enjoyed your hospitality and have a picture “to prove it!” When I told Hilary this morning of Pat’s passing, her first response was, “she was a sweet lady.”
She was so proud of all her children and grandchildren and it showed in her smile when she mentioned them to us.
We are saddened for your loss, but are happy for her promotion. We will pray that The Lord be gracious to you in days ahead.

For Pat
She always had a smile for me.
She didn’t need a reason.
Her eyes lit up behind the smile
No matter what the season.
The table was a welcome place,
She always offered more,
Especially of the mushy things
That Bart dropped on the floor.
Some people give because they must.
They often need a shove,
But did Pat ever give a gift
That was not sent with love?
And now that Pat has gone away
To be beside her Lord,
I marvel how she shared His love,
And …. She went overboard.
