It is with sadness that I heard of John's passing. In the last few years of his life he was a regular visitor. He was always a pleasure to be around so much so that I used to call him Johnny Bubbles because he always seemed so happy and had a great sense of humour. He brightened my day. I will miss seeing him.
I would like to express my condolences to Grant, Neil and Robbie and to his entire family and friends.

So sorry to hear of the passing of John. I can remember meeting him for the first time way back in the days that he had the farm on the Menzies road. He was the kindest person you would ever want to meet. He asked me if I would hay his fields so they wouldn't grow up in bushes and he even helped me hay them. He was a great man and neighbor. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

I want to extend my condolences to you and your entire family on this sad occasion . For many years John would be in my office in Saint John at least a couple of times a week . These visits always involved long conversations over coffee in my office and we had many laughs together In fact it went on so long that we got a mug with the name of John on it and it hung on the wall and nobody but John would use it .His love and respect for Bea was obvious and he often admitted to me that she was the 'Rock " in their family . I learned more from John about Bangor Maine than I could have from any other source because he loved the multitude of trips made there by him and Bea. He was proud of his children and often talked about them .John was a wonderful person to do business with as he was extremely honest and you did not need anything in writing when doing business with him . He was extremely proud of the wonderful family business they had created and rightfully so and he had a peace of mind when he became aware that Grant was more than capable of eventually taking over the business
