Obituary of Cynthia Ricketson

It is with sadness we announce the death of Cynthia Margaret Ricketson which occurred on Monday, January 30, 2023 at the age of 76. Raised in Apohaqui, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Olive (Moody) McKenna and wife of the late David Ricketson of Hatfield Point.

Cynthia is survived by her daughters: Bonny (Mark) Harvey of Maugerville, NB, Patty (Matthew) Teakles of Sussex, NB; son Trevor Ricketson of Hatfield Point, NB; sisters: Anne Dowe, Loretta McKenna (Ray Muloin), Rosemary (Ivan) Dornan, Doris McKenna (Brian Roulston) brothers: Frank (Julie) McKenna, Larry (Erin) McKenna, Kevin (Wendy Miller-McKenna); grandchildren: Chaz Harvey, Ji Harvey, Tejas Harvey, Jaylin Watson, Mya Teakles; sisters-in-law Ella Lawrence, Carolyn Bourque; “sister cousin” Connie Parlee;  as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and their families. In addition to her parents and husband, Cynthia was also predeceased by her parents-in-law Percy Ricketson and Alice (Austin) Thorne; brothers-in-law Ralph Dowe, Howard Ricketson and Bob Lawrence.  

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton and will be held privately.  Interment will take place at Bayview Cemetery at a later date.
