I am so sorry to the Ness family and Dianne's friends for your loss. Dianne met my mom Wendy Power when she was nannying in the Okanagan in the 1990's and she immediately became part of our family. Her sense of humor, positivity, and her faith in God left a lasting impression on me personally. I have so many happy memories of Dianne... playing skip-bo, road trips to Calgary (and her faking stalling her car in the middle of nowhere to scare me), going to the beach and listening to The Rankin Family. She was a gifted writer and so amazing with kids. Growing up with her was truly a blessing and I am so thankful to have had her in my life. Love you forever Di-zee - Kaylee

My family met Dianne at church when she was a Nanny in Calgary. We developed a lasting friendship with her fun loving attitude for life and we shared heartfelt thoughts and similar interests. She was a lady who made friends easily and she loved deeply. I am so grateful for the chance we had to keep in touch across the miles via technology. We talked on the phone over the past weeks and she bravely shared her diagnosis with a surrendered heart to remain in God’s Sovereignty over her life. I know she will be much missed by your family and you will remain in my prayers. ✝️

As Dianne has quoted before “to live in hearts we leave behind is not to die.”

That is certainly the case with Dianne. While I know our lives will never the same without her, she will always be part of our lives.
I wanted to share one of my favourite memories from when Dianne came to the UK and asked me to take her photo in the red phone box. It was one of many happy memories that I will cherish forever.
Thank you for sharing your beloved sister with me. Her friendship is one of the biggest highlights of my life.

My sympathies to all.
Dianne and I met the summer before grade 7 she and I have been close friends ever since. We may have gone weeks or months with out being in touch but we always picked up like it was yesterday. My heart is broken but if Dianne was here she would be sad right along with me until some hilarious comment she would make to change the mood and have us laughing like fools.
We didn't get rich raking blueberries but Dianne and I had so many laughs, those days are a favorite memory forever. Love you Dianne.
