Obituary of Mabel Forgrave

It is with great sadness that the family of Mabel Dorothy Marguerite Forgrave announce her passing which occurred on August 16, 2023, at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Lower Millstream, NB, on May 3, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Eules and Evelyn (Keirstead) Smith.

Mabel is survived by her children: Carol-Anne (Fred), of Rollingdam, Brian of Manitoba Road, Gary (Eva) of Ontario, Chris (Susan) of Collina, Mark (Linda) of Berwick and Darren (Wanda) of Lower Millstream; 17 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; sister Hazel Brown  of Mill Cove; sisters-in-law: Grace Smith of Plaster Rock, Lorna Smith of Apohaqui, Grace Dean of Sussex and brother-in-law Otty (Sandra) Forgrave of Southfield, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Besides her parents, Mabel was predeceased by her loving husband Allen, son Melvin and her siblings, Harry, Raymond, Eules, Ashley, Mary and Evelyn.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home (506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 21, 2023 from 4 - 7PM. The Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at 11:00AM from Sherwood’s Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place at Midland Cemetery.
