Obituary of Floyd McGarity

It is with sadness, that the family of Floyd George McGarity of Belleisle Creek, NB, husband of Brenda (Dobson) McGarity announces his passing on January 22, 2024 at home.  He was born on October 7, 1952, in Sussex, NB, a son of the late Wilmot & Alice (Parson) McGarity.

Floyd will be sadly missed by his wife Brenda of 48 years; children: Robert McGarity (Belinda) of Norton, NB, Dawn Marie Good (Don) of Belleisle Creek, NB and Crystal McGarity (Tom) of Welsford, NB; 9 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers: Don McGarity (Darlene) of Saint John, NB, Arthur McGarity (Myrna) of Saint John, NB, Wayne McGarity (Anna) of Quispamsis, Robert McGarity (Marie) of Fredericton, NB, and Paul (Sharon) of Codys, NB; sisters: Virginia Edwards of Lower Millstream, Phyllis Pickett of Cambridge Narrows, NB, Bonnie Cormier (Bruce) of Saint John, NB and Mary Lou Harris (Joe) of Cumberland Bay, NB; brother-in-law Vern Robichaud of Rothesay; sisters-in-law: Judy Callaghan of Belleisle Creek, NB, and Mary McGarity of Codys, NB several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Floyd was predeceased by his brothers John and Doug McGarity and sisters Doreen Robichaud and Lilly Erickson; and brothers-in-law: David Edwards, Murray Pickett, and Robert Erickson.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Center (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB where visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2024 from 4pm to 7pm.
