My sincere condolences to all of Murray’s Family. May your beautiful memories bring you comfort in the difficult days ahead. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. I remember Murray and Mary picking up all of us in the back of his half ton in the summer and taking us out to Ed Bettle’s to swim in the river .Murray was a wonderful man, always ready for a friendly chat. I remember Murray was going to tear down our home in Passekeag for the lumber. On Halloween night the house burned down so no lumber. I sure miss our home. Take care of yourselves. Catherine Parlee.

Joe and I are so sorry to hear of the passing of Murray he will always have a big piece of my heart growing up he was always called uncle Murray and still to this day I still say uncle Murray ,You had the biggest heart and the best hugs ,You always smiled no matter what life threw at you .He never missed one of our yard sales .Uncle Murray you will always be in my heart until we meet again.

Murray most certainly always wanted to have a chat and a laugh. He and his son stopped at my veggie stand one day when I was down there, and we had quite a reminiscing chat. When my husband Keven McEwen was starting school (50 yrs ago) he cried and cried on the bus and wouldn't get off the bus at the school, so Murray would take him back home to Saltsprings. This happened a couple times until Kevens Mom told Murray to stop bringing him back. Murray had his years of driving us onto KVHS for our high school yrs. Murray was the coolest bus driver. He would play whatever cassette tape was handed to him. We are so glad he had a long life and now he once again re-unites with Mary. Condolences to his huge family that all started with Murray & Mary. Sharon & Keven McEwen

To Murray's entire family; I am so sorry to hear of Murray's passing. The world was a better place with him in it. Murray always treated others as if they were family. uncle Murray was the best in the world and he would take us camping and we would sing songs. He would let me help him clean the school bus I will miss u very very much uncle Murray
