Obituary of Larry Alderman

It is with sadness that the family of Lawrence George Alderman announce his passing which occurred on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Owen Sound, ON on January 24, 1949, a son of the late George and Marjorie (Kellough) Alderman.

Larry was a man of many talents.  He will be missed for his insights, his advice, his opinions and his ability to “make it all work”.

Larry is survived by his partner in love and life of 50 plus years, Pauline (Andrews) Alderman; sons: Shayne (Christine) Alderman of Owen Sound, ON, Troy Thomas of Owen Sound, ON, Steven (Jodie) Alderman of Owen Sound, ON; daughter Robin Alderman of Owen Sound, ON; step daughter-in-law Heather Desmarais; nine grandchildren; sister Marilyn Alderman; sister-in-law Mary (Wayne) Martin; his four legged forest companion Samantha; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Larry was predeceased by his parents-in-law Tessie (Wynne) & Sam Andrews; brother Steven Alderman; step son Jon Desmarais; sister-in-law Peggy (Russell) Green.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Belleisle Valley Fire Department, the EMTs, and the Saint John Regional Hospital Cardiac Team for their care shown towards Larry and his family. Your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (506-839-2156) 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, and will be held privately.  However, in Larry’s memory please perform an act of kindness and play some Rolling Stones music.
